Volkswagen Jetta 2011 Sedan Car
The Volkswagen Jetta has always been more popular in this country and in Europe, where usually the best selling sedans. For 2011, redesigned VW Jetta, which gives it a longer wheelbase, more rear seat leg and a lower price. The style is simple and clean, but I think it can be almost too simple.

After the large grille that was a basic design for VW in recent years. In its place is a small, horizontal grille that is much less clear. The underside of the car is very well sculpted, and the back looks a lot like an Audi, which is not surprising, since Volkswagen owns Audi. The Jetta is officially on sale on October 4, enters the market with a base price of $ 15,995 which puts it in direct competition with the compacts like the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Suzuki Kizashi. There are four trim levels and four engines to choose from. The most expensive model is the navigation TDI turbodiesel, and you get to $ 24.195. full price will not be issued until the date of the sale of official car.
The engines are 2.0 liters, 115 horsepower four-cylinder, a 2.5-liter, 170 horsepower five-cylinder, a turbocharged 2.0-liter, 200 horsepower four-cylinder turbodiesel and a 2.0-liter 140 horsepower four-cylinder. A manual transmission is standard and the automatic option. The 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline and diesel is also available with six-speed DSG Volkswagen excellent. The dual-clutch DSG is essentially a manual gearbox with automatic clutch, and a pleasure to drive, especially when you’re away manually.

The test machine was an SEL with the engine to 170 horsepower five-cylinder engine and automatic transmission. I’ve never been crazy about the sound of five-cylinder engine, but it works very well. It has a mid-range acceleration and large did a good job of minimizing fuel consumption. E ‘rated at 24 miles per gallon city and 31 mpg on the highway. My personal choice of engine is the turbo engine, which goes on sale later this year as it offers 30 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway. It has 236 pound-feet of torque, which is both a V-6, which allows him to scoot to 60 mph in 8.7 seconds. In most driving conditions the torque is more useful than power, because it moves the car to a stop and pull up a hill.
The new Jetta is 2.9 inches longer than before, and legs to the rear seats of 38.1 inches is nearly three centimeters wider than last year’s model. Volkswagen Jetta compare Honda Civic, but it is almost comparable to a Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata. The route is typically pragmatic Germans, like handling. The car was very safe at high speeds on narrow roads with two lanes. Volkswagen has replaced the drawing independent rear suspension with a torsion beam-economic status, and the rear brakes are drums, always to save money.
In general, the interior has been designed with Volkswagen and well executed. Inside the Jetta is not quite up to that of some other VW. The test car was equipped with the navigation system and touch screen control of audio. I’m starting to feel like a Luddite because many of the new touch screen systems, including this one, are not as intuitive as I would. simple tasks like radio hand set, they require more steps to insert a button and turning. I also thought that the audio quality was disappointing. The instrumentation and controls all, is simple and straightforward. The seats are well shaped and the steering wheel is adjustable for reach and rake. The split folding rear seat provides choices of goods, and the trunk is large.
Safety equipment includes antilock brakes, traction and stability control, and front, side and curtain airbags. In the case of an airbag deployment, crash response system of the Jetta off the fuel pump, activate the hazard lights and unlocks the doors. The basic price of the Jetta SEL is $ 21,395. Although the official price has not yet been published, VW says the automatic transmission add about $ 1100. Upon delivery, the sticker price should be around $ 23.265.
